Hamilton Dial

Last week end I was out looking for the pocket watches. I did not buy any but found a Hamilton 992 with a neet dial.
The watch has a dial with hamilton in script, iner ring with red numbers from 1 to 24 black numbers form 1- 12 and second markings fron 1-60
This may be a Canadian dial??
Any way is it a little more uncommon or a hard to come buy dial.

I could not see any cracks with my eyes.

Is the dial in the upper left of the image below the dial that you mentioned? Though not in color, I believe the numerials would be in the colors that you mentioned.

If it were me, and the watch was priced at anything close to a good deal for a normal 992 and the dial is perfect I would buy it. These are not rare but they don't show up in perfect shape every day.

I thank you all for the information. I agree if the price were good I would by it. The price is way over by a lot. They are asking 700 for it and I think it is way out of line. the case is very poor. Mayb aafter it setts there a long time then I will be able to make them a fair offer.

And yes it is the one in the right top of the ones suggested.

I found this dial recently on a Hamilton 978 which had a yellow crystal and severely rusted diamond hands. After I cleaned it up there were two hairlines both near the lever at 1:00, but otherwise a gorgeous dial. :D

It is the same as the one in the upper left of Robert's pictures, right down to the style of hands.

Does anyone know what the dial reference number would be for this double sunk, script Hamilton, marginal minute, 24 hour combination?

According to the Hamilton Material Catalog of 1920, this dial is a "Light Arabic" No. 581A.
