l bought this from a pawnshop this afternoon. Had a few other nice ones that were out of my budget for the week, but I can always return. I cleaned and oiled it when I got home it seems to be running fairly accurately. About a 6s it looks like. Cost me $40. Anyone else collect Waterbury watches like this? This is my first I usually stick to railroad type stuff but I found it to be something out of the ordinary. Case appears to be gold filled and is marked Ajax Warranted on the inside.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about your watch is the duplex escapement.

These duplexes are very common--it is the early Columbians that command attention from collectors!

What caught my eye about it was it was in nice shape and of USA origin, I see 0s ones all the time, pin set ones, but their either Swiss or in awful shape, ocasionally I'll run across a nice gold case one but not often. I don't see too many of these things around here, especially one that was a bit bigger and running a duplex. Of cheaper watches the Ingersoll Reliance seems the most common around here (for how long who knows, I once bought a box of watch parts and there were no less than 75 movements salvaged for parts) at least for those still running, Westclox the next most so but they almost never run.
