Hi ANGUA:

Welcome to the NAWCC American Pocket Watch Message Board!

Waltham movement serial number 10386995 is one of the Ladies sizes of Waltham watches. Looking it up in one of the references (http://www.nawcc-info.org/WalthamDB/LookupSN.asp) listed in the linked-to Wiki artcle, It can be seen to be a size-6, Seaside grade. The reference used to create the online serial number table combined the data for the 7-jewel and 15-jewel watches, so we would have to see a picture of the movement to to be able to tell you which it is.

A picture of the movement and breif catalog description can be seen on the bottom of page 77 of the 1903 Oy Company Catalog (http://www.elginwatches.com/scans/sales_catalogs/1903_Oy_Company/m_index.html). Please note that right above the movements, the catalog states: "THE OPEN FACE AND SKYLIGHT HAVE NO SECOND HAND."

Good luck,

These movements are hunting case style but with the special dial and snipping of the seconds the 1890 model movement becomes open face.
