I've found lots and lots of Waltham dials, but I'm unable to find more than 1 or 2 with the "red ribbon". Can anyone explain the difference to me? Thanks for any info...Lissa

This one is Swiss made!

So the ribbon is due to it being Swiss Made? Why would a Watham be swiss made?? Or just the Dial was swiss made?

The watch is SWISS made--read the back of the movement.

Thanks Jon...I only started a couple of months ago. My father in law has given me the "Swiss Made" Waltham and a Dorset. I've developed my interests just from the 2 he's given me, but I really like the much older models.

Key winds, dollar watches, RR watches, hunting cases, ladies watches--there are many categories from which to choose.
Ebay has many pictures to view; if bidding, tread very carefully.

Both Waltham and Elgin imported these swiss made movements .... i believe mid-late fifities??
The dial signature was just a timeframe thing... think you may see it on other waltham products from the era...
These movements were unadjusted...
