View Full Version : Unusual Factory Case Engravings

I was wondering if some of the members have or have seen any factory cased watches with unusual factory engravings, not aftermarket. I'm not talking about the typical birds, trains, flowers, houses, etc. but something unusual. A couple I have seen that are uncommon, to me anyway, a friend of mine has a nice 16 size Waltham in a GF HC that has a hunter in a boat shooting at a flying duck. I have a Waltham in a GF HC that has a pic of what appears to be a marsh hen or coot leaping from a marsh with cattails in the background. Any comments or pics appreciated.

Are you desiring to hear of cases in any particular metal, and hunting or OF styles?

Open face or hunting, any type of metal would be of interest. I have seen, as I said, the typical trains, flowers, cabins, horses, deer, etc. just anything out of the ordinary would be fine.

This is one is my favorite a lion on front and pyramids on the back. It is gold filled eagle case. <p>

Is that Niagara Falls on the front lid of this gold-filled 18 size hunting case?

The back side of the case has a nice scene of some boats on a lake.
