Hi everyone I have a Dragon designed American Waltham, any info about it would be helpful. Below is all the information I have on it. I believe it is 76 out of 500. And it has an interesting gold dragon design.

I am guessing that you are talking about a dragon on the case. In this era the customer could select from a number of case designs and the jeweler would put the movement (your Riverside Maximus in this instance) into the case. The dragon design would not have been specific to Waltham and it could have just as easily been an Elgin or some other movement in the case. I have seen a design with a dragon by the Dubois Watch Case Co (four D's in a flower pattern). Although your 0-size Maximus is from a production run of 500 movements there were more than that produced (~7000 in hunting case configuration). From the serial number you provide it should be a 1900 model, not the 1891 model. Nevertheless it sounds like a beautiful watch. Can you post some pictures?

Any help would be much appreciated. It is alot of fun learning about this heirloom piece. Any new assessments from you champions of watches?

This appears to be a superb overlay in a green 14K gold hunter with a high grade ladies Waltham Max mov't. A ladies jewelry item; pack it away for the heirs.

Absolutely STUNNING.
And it appears to be Coral on Green, if I might add...

Thank you for all the positive comments, other things I would want to know is what it is valued at, and how rare this dragon design are. I know it is number 74 out of 500 but, how many have the dragon design?
