Would you please take another look at the serial number you provided, and confirm that it is correct. A 9 digit serial number on a Waltham doesn't sound right! With a dial marked such as yours is, your watch is a "private label", or "contract" watch. You likely know the background of the watch from the family perspective. A bit of research might yield some information about L. Tunick, and we can likely give you more information regarding the Waltham, once we have a serial number we can use. If it is a 17 million serial number, it would date circa 1908 or thereabouts.
