I have a Crystal Palace that I am trying to find a dome for. Does anyone have one or can head me in a direction to find one?
The critical measurement is front/back 5 1/4 inside the dome.\
I really appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks.

Sounds pretty standard, so try Timesavers (http://www.timesavers.com). Otherwise, google 'glass dome' and you'll find the odd sizes :)

SB,
The crystal palace that I am thinking of is the No. 1 Extra which is somewhat larger with double figures. There are smaller No. 2 and No. 3 which have a more standard dome. Depends on which one is needed.
Ben Bowen in FL may have a dome for a No. 1 Extra. See the previous thread below.
Reading this thread again, and noting the 5 1/4" measurement....I guess that makes it the smaller more common dome...

Thanks Richard. This is the Crystal Palace Extra No. 1 with the double figure... Hunter and Fisherwoman. The walnut base lip where the dome would sit is about 3/4 inches, but the smallest inside to inside that will fit there (front to back) must be at least 5 1/4. 5 1/2 will work. The Timesaver's new dome is 6 inches and just would not look right. The dome height, perhaps 18 inches and width 12 inches.+

if i may offer a suggestion, a friend of mine had one of these clocks and i have seen how big and odd shaped that dome is, if i had one without a dome i think i would build a cabinate with glass all around it with a door in the front and put the clock in that, if this is a clock you plan on using all the time i think it would be hard lifting that dome once a week, granted it wont be original.

Ryan, that's a great idea. I'll certainly keep that in mind. However, as you pointed out, as an avid collector, I want the clock to be original.
