hello:

I wonder if does exist any internet site where to buy some watch parts(i.e. hairsprings, balances etc) for repairing 19th watches.
I dont mean to buy a lot of pieces, but one, or two, rare to find.

Brian Cavanaugh is a really good source. I also go to this guy (http://www.watchdoc.com/) if Brian can't help me.

Most of my list of websites don't seem to work anymore. Here's what's left:
Vintage TimePieces (http://www.howardman.com)
Watch Matereial Search (http://www.ccwatchmaker.com/new_page_1.htm)

I have had good luck with
Brian Cavanaugh (pwpartsetc@pwatch.com,
Dashto (http://www.dashto.com/) in Virginia,
and Uncle Larry's (http://www.execulink.com/%7Elfoord/index/horology.htm) in Canada.
I have also had good luck using
CCWatchmaker (http://www.ccwatchmaker.com)
and Stan Hoffman's HoroFind (http://www.horofind.com) site.

Dear friends: Thanlks again for your very useful and friendly helping.

By the way:

I have never bought from an horological internet site.Always my watchmaker repaired my watches, but now I have an old watch with some rare missing parts and I have to look for them.

As a general rule, how expensive maybe, for example to buy a balance or a hairspring from these sites?

Thanks again.

One good way to obtain obscure parts is from other collectors, Specialists usually have a good supply, esp if they do any of their own repairs.
