This is from Roy Ehrhardt's 1976 Book, "Trade Marks-Watch Cases-Pocket Watches-Precious Stones-Diamonds."

The Roy Watch Case Co., was located at 21-23 Maiden Lane, New York City, and made cases from CA 1885-1900's.

I'm not trying to start any arguments, but from my own personal observations and collecting history, the Roy Watch Cases were some of the finest made, including multi-color cases. Maybe someone else can add more info.

Dave:

Here's a Roy 1906 Ad (http://www.knology.net/~ksinger/roy_1906_0_size.jpg) that's fairly typical for them. I have copies of Roy ads published as late as 1914, but they may have been in business considerably later than that.

This is from The History of The American Watch Case, by Warren H. Niebling.
The Roy Watch Case Co. started in Brooklyn, N. Y. in the year 1885. Right after they had started in business, a fire burned them out, but the plant was quickly rebuilt. The company was quite successful, and became quite well known for a photo enameling process for reproducing photographs on the watch cases themselves. They had a fine reputation for high quality watch cases. They made only 14k and 18k gold cases, very well engraved and also used raised, gold ornamentation and enameled decoration as well. They continued on well into the 1900's.
