Hi Guys,
I just received the above watch and was wondering if this is a rare one or not.
It needs a staff so what staff fits this movement.

I have worked out the following:-

The watch was made in 1886 -1887, it is a 15 jewel 3/4 plate and that is about all I know.
The serial number is #2762157
I will post a picture as soon as I get home so that you will be able to give a more accurate assessment.
Thanks
Gary

The Waltham database entry (http://www.nawcc-info.org/WalthamDB/LookupSN.asp?serial=2762157) says it is a 15 jewel Am. grade.

That means it is an intermediate grade watch, fairly common for the 1872 model.

Gary,
I believe there are 4 possible staffs. You will need the measurements to find which one you need.
