Hi,
I am looking for some information on a solid gold pocket watch with the inscription inside as follows:
" Chance ( in script ) London ( in caps )" with the s/n 4694 on the back of the movement "
The face has no name, 1.75 inches in dia., white, roman numerals, the second hand is on the bottom 11/16 inch dia.
I have 6 cleaning papers from Charles Bond watch maker Boston. Dates from 1832. The watch is chain drive and does work. Looses about 2 minutes in 24hrs.
Should I keep the watch in a globe on the shelf or in the safety deposit box?
Thanks
Chris Potter
