I did not know where to post this question. I did post it on the Misc. board but wasn't sure of the exposure it would get.

I do clock repair as a hobby. I have a complete shop setup so I think I have most of the tools necessary to repair barometers.

What I need is some books/instruction on this area. A friend has a Hermle barometer that fell off the shelf and doesn't give accurate data. He ask me if I could check it out. I said I would investigate the possibility so any help you all could give me would be helpful. Thank you. Sincerely, John #0159010

The following is useful:

Care and Restoration of Barometers
Phillip Collins
Baros Books, Wiltshire UK
ISBN 0 948382 05 8

covers mostly wheel barometers and aneroid.
Not expensive

If you can't find what you're looking for, Google 'barometer repair' for several places that do that kind of repair as a profession.
