Merry Christmas, a late Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Holidays to you and all of your loved ones!
I have yet to open my gifts but hope to follow up with a post and photos depicting some horological gifts!
What horological gifts did everyone receive during this holiday season?
Regards,
Bryan

No horological gifts, yet, but I spent the later part of the day cleaning a French carriage clock I bought last year. Can't think of a better way to relax after a great Christmas dinner with the family.
I'll be ordering my gift to myself tomorrow. A new set of watchmaker's screwdrivers.
Happy Holidays to all.

Happy Holidays to all of you!
I did not get any watches or watch accessories, but my family and friends really do not know much about them. I did get some money, which I might use to purchase something at the next Chapter 28 Mart. If I get something in a couple weeks, I'll let you folks know.

Really Bryan...If your family can buy horological gifts for you, that's wonderful!
Even though my wife sees some decent money from our horological sales and repairs, I still hear "don't you have enough tools?" Of my four sons, the only one who carries or even wears a watch is my oldest who now lives on a boat. He sent all of his high-end watches to me for safe keeping and then asked for a PW that wouldn't cause me grief if it fell in the ocean!!!! I sent him a beautiful 16s Elgin that originally looked as if it was pulled out of brown muck, explaining I would not grieve if he lost it but would probably shed a tear or two.
Merry Christmas to all!

I received a nice Timex "INDIGLO", a wrist watch that I wore during the last twenty years of my profession. And I can attest to the fact that, " IT TAKES A LICK'N AND KEEPS ON-A-TICK'N".
Happy Holidays To All.

I received a 19j 12s South Bend model 429 for Christmas. It desparately needs a COA, but does run in it's current condition and keeps awfully good time as is. Still, I let it run down and put it away until I can send it to my watchmaker.
Regards! Mark

I got SKUNKED for Xmas. Here is the 18s 21J Waltham Crescent Street pocket watch I did NOT get for Xmas:

Notice the interesting additions to the dial.
Shortly before Xmas, I negotiated to buy this watch for $150. I dashed to the Post Office after work and sent a money order off. When I got home, I opened my email to send a note saying I got the MO in the mail only to find a note from the seller saying he sold the watch out from under me. He sent my money order back. At least he was an honest man who doesn't keep his word.
I was very peeved for Xmas.
Cheers,
Stan
Cheer up Stan, it was missing a case screw anyway>
