Below is a notice introducing the new 18 size, 17 jewel, grade 924 and 925 to the market.

According to "Halligan/Gelson" serial number records the first run of 924's, 1000 units (98001-99000) when to the "Finishing Dept.", Aug. 5, 1899 and were completed in 1899. The last run of 924's, 1500 units (1449001-1450500) were produced from 1923-26.

The first run of 925's, 500 units (49401-49900), went to the "Finishing Dept.", May 23, 1899 and were completed in 1899. The last run of 925's, 500 units (1414501-1415000) were produced in 1919.

Interesting article Robert

Also looks the the official death statement of the Hamiliton 18 size 15 jewel movement, too be replaced by the 17 Jewel movement.

As you stated:
49501 - First 925 17 J Watch
98001 - First 924 17 J Watch

Furthermore:
97900 - Last 929 15 J Watch
112200 - Last 928 15J Watch

102001 - 103,000 922 "Imperial" 15J one run
95001-96000 923 - 18 size 15J one run

Could be off a little on the 922"Imperial" and 923- 18 size, as their has been prior discussions on these, and it seems the results may be more random and scattered (not sure :))
