Recently came across this watch ( Serial # 7274857 ) Model 1894 Riverside 17-19 jewels. Looked high and low for a comparable watch for reference with the second hand @ the 3:00 position with no luck. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

You have a medium high grade watch with a conversion dial. The watch was designed for a hunting case but has been converted to open face. The conversion dials appeared during the time that hunting case movements were difficult to sell. They are not really common but there are a lot of them.
They could probably be called scarce when in porcelain. When you see the treatment on a metal dial, it could have just been repainted by request of the owner a few years ago. Your dial looks authentic, but the relatively low cost of creating one holds down the value for the metal dials.
