I have a R E Robbins model 77 and haven't been able to find much on the internet about this grade. I've been able to find a fair amount about Royal Robbins and what he had done for the company but haven't been able to find much on this grade. I was wondering if this was a mid grade watch or was it a popular grade?

Hi Jeff,

I responded on web horology, as it will get to you faster as I am banned from timely message responses (we can only talk about "certain" things and use certain words of "their" choice.)

You can look up the serial number at the on line Waltham Serial Number Lookup (http://www.nawcc-info.org/WalthamDB/LookupSN.asp).

Once you have the information that is there, you can look up some of the abbreviations and definitions in the Glossary (http://www.nawcc-info.org/WalthamDB/Glossary.htm).

Thanks Jon and Steve. Kind of interesting that the two people who responded are from the two states that I have lived in. Grew up in Massachusetts and the last state I lived in was Colorado, which is where I'm trying to get back to. Just a weird observation on my part.
