waltham Mdl 1908

Could one of the Waltham experts please tell me if this is the only Mdl Waltham that has lever set located at the 56 minute mark..Would this include the wind Indicator version also ?? I have a NOS J. Boss case that is marked Waltham in block lettering.... Thanks for any insight as to what may be approriate for this case....

As far as I am aware, the only 16 size Walthams that had the setting lever at the 56 minute mark are the Model 1899, 1908 and Model 1912 winding indicators and the Model 1623 Vanguards. Some of the later, but pre WWII Vanguards also had the 56 minute lever before Waltham officially designated it the Model 1623.

I think that the 1621 Riverside also has the lever at the 56 minute position. And, I suppose that the lever-set versions of the 16-A also used the 56 minute positiion.

Oh, the Waltham-Ball ORRS wind indicators have their setting levers at the 56 minute position.
