Anyone heard of this?

I found this pic in wiht Roy's Ball research. I know he was careful about publishing things, preferring to show things to several true "experts" before he reported on them.

Has this been reported elsewhere?

Is it real?

What is YOUR opinion?

What's the serial number, I can't quite read it?

This was reported in the Gold book (page 228) and EA diagram 137 on page 74. The report notes "one seen" Very likely, the same watch in the picture.

A Keystone-Howard Ball is pictured in the Shugart book and listed as serial #982201 and described as "believed to be one-of-a-kind prototype".

I believe it is likely the same watch that is pictured here, and it looks like the serial number I make out in the pics above.

I've never seen this watch myself, but have heard talk of this watch before and know a few people who said they did see it shown at some NAWCC regionals quite a few years ago.

Would certainly be one of the absolute highlights of any Ball collection!
