Henry, I believe I have found a point of adjustment for your great data base. The watch in question is a 12s, Dueber Grand, pin set. It comes up as pendant set in the data base.

Serial # 1327231

Also, do you know the significance of the large "X" under the usual 25yr logo in the case?

Thank you and I changed it from a pendant to a "button" or pin.

No idea what the X on the case means, am speculating maybe "Extra", but pure speculation mind you.

The data base is on the Ch. 149 website.

Veritas- Location of the Chapter 149 is:
http://www.nawcc-ch149.com/pw_dbresearch.html

Drill down on Hampdens

Jon-Changed the description from "Button" to "Pin". This should be available for viewing on the next website update.
Also should be to include the first serial numbers for each variation and grade in this update. Testing this feature now locally on my home computer.

Tomrsey - The pin type Hampdens are difficult to pick up, as they are not often shown or alluded to in descriptions.

Right now the database indicates around 18,000 total Pin-set Hampdens, that have been identifyed. This should be considered a "minimum" value.

I believe the X notation on the case indicates it was an 'exchange' case...

Have seen this nomenclature before on cases and some older 'discussions', but no proof....or documentation...

willin to learn though... :?|

interesting nail set... (pin set)....

My experience is that the nail/pinset gold filled Dueber 12 size cases are very hard to find that don't show some brass on the edges of the case. The condition of the example shown is very unusual and is a real keeper.
