Hi Guys,
I have just purchased my first E. Howard 12s (?) 17 jewel pocket watch and was wondering if there is a data base (like the Elgin one) that can give me the Date, Size and how many were produced from the serial number.

Is it safe to guess that this is a Keystone Howard,
rather than an original E. Howard (J-size)?

Why not post a pic of the movement? Or provide
the serial number? (if you're sure which movement
it is.)

I don't know of an online source -- but there are others.

Yes, Keystone Howard, model '08 series 7, probably made around
1910 or 1911. (the new-er model '08's are marked 'Pat'd 12')

It's usually listed as a 12-size, sometimes described as 12/14 size.
I don't know about total production of this specific model, but 'Lots'
probably is a fair estimate. These continued to be made well into
the late 1920's -- about 20 years of production. (Keystone) Howard
went out of business around 1930.
