I'm posting this in "Pocket Watches" because Kent Singer puts in a lot of time here, and I'm sure those he has helped (both NAWCC members and others) will appreciate knowing that he and Ed Ueberall were made NAWCC Fellows at the recent NAWCC National Convention.
As a fellow-*** 185 member Dr. Clint Geller wrote on the *** 185 message board: "Their prodigous contributions to the body of collectors' knowledge on the subject of American Railroad Watches makes these two gentlemen eminently qualified for and very well deserving of this recognition. They are a credit to the ranks of NAWCC Fellows as much as the title is a fitting credit to them." I couldn't have put it better.

Ditto!
Both on and off the board these two gentlemen deserve only compliments and praise to the time and effort they put in and also the friendly and factual way that that they go about doing it. It does not matter if they are dealing with issues from people who regularly visit or people who "fly by", they always deal with the issue in a very pleasant and facilitating way. Thank you!

Congrats to Kent and Ed. I'm new to the NAWCC and to the message boards, but have already received more than my fair share of help from Kent. Many thanks--and congrats, once again!

Congratulations to both Ed & Kent - two of the finer folks I've ever had the pleasure of talking to & corresponding with. Well done!
As another relatively new member to these boards and the NAWCC I'd like to say that Kent has answered many of my questions...and he does it exhaustively - adding minutae I would never have known (or thought to ask)about. And I've seen him do this for others on a daily basis. That's a huge amount of time! Additionally, he is an impartial and level-headed presence here...no sniping, sarcasm, or ego massaging from him. A really nice guy.

All,
Kent indicated to me that the presentation was done at the National in Ft. Lauderdale which adds to the profile of the new fellowships. Well done guys. You deserve it.
Luca,
I've never met Ed, but I have met Kent, and he is every bit as great a guy in person as he is on the Message Board. Generous, and humble too! I have reason to thank him often for assistance he has given and continues to give. Our group is better with guys like these.
On behalf of Ed and myself, I thank you all for your kind words and comments. We appreciate the fact that so many people, many of whom, we've grown to know and respect, took the time post their comments.
We realize that the quality of the Railroaders' Corner is made possible by the generous contributions by so many of the people who post on this message board, and on others, or whom we've met and with whom we've corresponded over the years. We're grateful to be able to serve as a conduit in focusing that material and bringing it out in the Bulletin, and to some extent, on the message boards.
Again, we thank you all,
Whit Joyner

Just like Kent to tell me the highlight of his trip was that he found a center jewel for an Elgin, without mentioning a thing about the honor. I believe I've received help from both of them, but I've bothered Kent with more questions than Ed.
Congratulations to you both. It's without a doubt people like the two of you, Glyn and many others that convinced me that the NAWCC was a group worth joining. I don't recall ever seeing a thread here that has gone unanswered.
Best Regards,
Tref

Good going guys.

Kent and Ed,
Great job. You both have been very helpful to me whenever I had a question or needed some information from your data base. An award well deserved!
