Hello,

I have an E. Howard & Co. N-size movement with dial (no case) that I would like information about. The serial number is 15,261; it is KW/KS. The Howard online database doesn't offer any information on this watch. Perhaps someone else has information?

I would love to find a case for this watch, but that seems almost impossible. What solutions are deemed acceptable among collectors of early Howard watches?

Thank you,

Thomas Tallant

Sometimes buying a watch with case is easier and even cheaper than finding or buying only a case. You don't have to put the watch in an E. Howard Case but any movement can be re cased into any brand case. The only problem is that did anyone else use a size n movement? I don't know. I often have the same problem as you are having. I learned the hard way that it is better to buy a watch with a case.

The movement/dial was given to me (essentially) as part of a larger purchase. I have thought about purchasing a "complete" N size, and I plan to do that one day. For now, I have this very fine movement/dial that primarily I'd like more information about. Secondarily, I'd like to case the watch, but I know that will have to wait -- or it might never happen.

Regards,

Thomas

Perhaps you can find a case that is close/larger and fit a ring/sleeve to the movement. I have an oversized 18 swingout case that holds a size 18 movement. What is the diameter of the movement?
