For many years Hamilton put out small booklets they called "Time Books". The Hamilton timebooks have calendars for one or several years in the rear and had many pages for recording notes and time tables, but most also contain Hamilton advertising and promotion.
I've "borrowed" a collection of these and will be scanning here, this collection is not complete but does have many of the year's editions between 1901 and 1946. I will start with the latest editions and work my way backward in time and plan to show images of both front and rear covers for each edition, title page, and any pages with Hamilton advertising material. I do not plan to show the table pages, note pages, non factory related pages, or the calendar pages.

Note the variant cover from the same year's edition pictured above ... the train has no "flags" on the sides and the giant watch on the front of the train has a Roman numeral dial, no 940 marking, and a block lettered Hamilton factory signature.
Interior pages are virtually the same, but there are some slight differences. I've pictured that ad for the 960 movement, and there are some small differences in the text but also some differences in that the movement illustrated does not have a "960" or "5 Position" marking.
Fred - these are all entertaining, interesting AND useful!
Many thanks!

Outstanding read, and the testimonies are just great (gotta love those 940 testimonies).
Thank you for taking the time to put these up on the web.
Incidently, if this post breaks your continunity of scans, just move the post after the scans.

No worries Henry ... I am thinking to create a better organized second thread later on and post labeled links to these images there ... this will put the pages in the proper order and will also take care of the download time problem.

Hi Fred,
Those little books provide a lot of reading entertainment and useful facts. We do enjoy the "testimonies" of those marvelous mechanical wonders. Why, I even learned a new word today under one of the workers photos with the quote "VISITORS PRONOUNCE HAMILTON WORK PARLORS THE PLEASANTEST IN THE WORLD!" :thumb:
Larry
Wow, I now see it is a valid word indeed.

This post on page 2 of Fred's thread intrigued me (from the 1909-1910 book)-t299.jpg
Accurate Understrain
"I have the proud distinction of saying that the Fastest train ever run on the Pennsylvaia Railroad, the Seventeen-Hour Express from New York to Chicago, was run ever day by one of your watches, and as many of the miles were made in 40 seconds, you can imagine the strain on the watch, which stto the test & kept accurate time "
1) I think a mile in 40 seconds is 80 mph. I bet for sure, it was a little "bumpy" , must have been quite a bit of vibration that carried up to that watch.
2) My mapquest-with todays automobile route along I-80 says it is 780 miles and can be done in 12 hours 38 minutes by auto (with no stops). 780 miles in 17 hours was an overall average of 45 miles an hour (without stops).
To go from station to station in NY to CHicago in 1909 in 17 hours was indeed an accomplishment.

That is all I have for now, but if anyone out there has some editions I have missed please post some pics if possible.
I will be starting another thread that will have clickable links instead of displayed images ... this will allow for better download time, easier searching for specific info, will order the images correctly for each edition, and will fix a few mistakes in the timeline order of this thread. I'm thinking to start this new thread tomorrow and to order from oldest to newest editions rather than in the reverse order that was used here.
