I am far from an expert but I love this kind of thing so I will play. Well, it looks like a Glashhutter. (LAnge, Glashutte plate desing. Assman-weque. Very German. But probably Swiss for the German market (hence the German and Swiss marks on the case. So IWC would be the best guess.

What is the word on the plates?

Could it be one of Auguste Reymond's ebauche movements? If so, it probabley was manufactured after 1926. JFL

I like Jeff's first guess. IWC Glasshuette. I have no idea what the called the calibres.

I should say...ARSA invented Unitas. Then this was made for the German market.

The question is did ARSA (Reymond) own the UNITAS name this early and did they make the movemetn for IWC?

Jeff comes more closer than any others..... it becomes more hot-hot-hot! I think Jeff got it right - watchfriends (Norbert) should tell us the solution.....

By the way: ARSA didn´t invented UNITAS. They were 2 separate companys but both were under the roof of A.REYMOND S.A. Later the hole company become an affiliate of EBAUCHES S.A.

IWC cal. 62 "Model 1984" 1A

Hello,

nice to see a lot of answers!

On "Nachtmotte's" site you will find the movement which i bought at wednesday.

There were 2 different company's.... Reymond and Unitas - Isidore Heilbronner, München (munich) (IHM look at case).

That was a company that bought movements (lange, IWC) and put them into a own cases f.e. likeTiffany.

On the picture you see an IWC cal. 62 (Modell 1894) this is one of 300 pieces that will produced in 1895. I think 200 in silber 1/B qual and
100 in Gold 1/A qual . The movement and dial are completely IWC.

Cal. 62 is an converted cal. 55 this is really rar too.
It is hard to recognise.

One number of serial is under the plate ;) You can find the movement in the sellingbooks of IWC.[b][b][b][b]

sorry no it isn't but it is a really good fake, i am interessted in if you want sell. The plate must be full....

It looks like a calibre 54 but there are other things.
