View Full Version : Elgin hairsprings, how critical are they?

I need a hairspring for my Elgin, the part is x797 strenth 1, thanks to jdduvall for this information. Dashto has a part 796 which he states will work on 90 % of 16 size. Just how critical are the hairsprings and what is the best guess this would work? Thanks for any help.

I'm not sure, but I have dealt with Dashto before - just drop him an email and he will be sure to get you the right part...
