This hunter case houses a 1868 Elgin BWR. It appears to be brass (it's original to the movement), but may be gold, it's not been tested yet. The case has "Adelphi Watch Co., " "Patent" as well as "Y 43" markings. It appears that the symbol is a swan in a shield. Attached is a few shots(I hope). Does anyone have any ideas or information about the Adelphi Watch Co? I've not had any luck finding anything.

I have a couple of Adelphi watch movements that are swiss fakes. If I recall the trademark on the movements matches that on your case. Perhaps they made cases as well.

Could you post a picture of your BWR movement?

I also have an Adelphi WatchCo Swiss Fake in an Adelphi brass HC. The Hallmark insike my front cover is the same as you posted.

Your case previously housed a Swiss Fake and is most likely brass.
