American Pocket Watch or Not?

Hi guys, I did a lot of research and found no answers. I have a pocket watch that is very old and small. Maybe 1 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch long. The case is silver or white gold. It has antique scrolling on the sides. The inside of the case reads" STAR CASE WATCH COMPANY" 14k gold filled. The back of the watch reads 16 sixteen jewels, swiss, fuxia watch. The face opens from the bottom. The top has a hinge. Have anyone heard of a small pocket watch?

If it's marked Swiss,
it isn't American.

There are multitudes
of small pocket watches.

Post a picture to the
correct forum, and you
may get an identification.
