Chicago Tribune article re: John C. Adams' watch

I saw that the watch of John C. Adams' from the Elgin watch company was found by a relative in a shoe box and later donated to the Elgin Historical society.

An article was published in 2000.

does anyone have a copy or know where to get one?

It is not on the Chicago tribune site anymore.
