Help please! I'm trying to get my Waltham model 1870 plates apart to replace a jewel. This is the key set from back model.I can't figure out the way to separate the plates, the setting arbour seems to be rivetted in. Help! Thanks, hc3

Hi hc3,

Sorry for the delay in responding to your question re the 1870 model KW Waltham.

These are press fitted; you need to stake the center shaft from the idler gear. Then re-press fit when you comeplete your task.

YOU REALLY need a staking set to do the job properly.
