In their book American Pocket Watches, ID & Price Guide, Ehrhardt & Meggers list Dependon. This is a "private label", or "contract" watch made by the Illinois Watch Co., Springfield, Ill. for the Chicago retailer , John V. Farwell. Your watch is an "0" size, open-faced, pendant set model 1, grade 33, with 11 jewels.
