My watchmaker is looking for a setting lever for a Mdl 2, Moseley Patent, hunter movement.
This part is illustrated and numbered (26), on pg 9, and described, on pg 10, of the E & J Swigart Co's Illustrated Manual of American Watch Movements.
This part will put a fine old Elgin hunter back in the land of the ticking.
Now I've done it-- I used "fine" and "Elgin" in the same sentence-- my Walthams are self-destructing!!
Thanks,
WW

Back again all, and hello Wayne,
The watch he needs a setting lever for is an 18s, 15j, model 2, B.W. Raymond, with a serial number of 336,269.
Thanks in advance for all your efforts in this endeavor.
Cheers,
WW

WW,
Your turncoat.
Are you missing the lever or is it broken?
Jon

As to whether I'm a turncoat. No. English and Swedish. You know- an American- kicked-out of, or dragged-away from, every decent country on Earth!!
But if you wish me to play P.S. Bartlett, Charles Moseley, Otis Hoyt, George Hunter, D.R. Hartwell, C.E. Mason, D.G. Currier, or J.K. Bigelow. SHOW ME THE MONEY!! and we'll talk.
If you mean "my turncoat". No again, I don't own one.
As to the pertinent question. The setting lever broke, or, wasn't with the watch when he acquired it. Either way its gone.
Dig deep, good people, to put this Elgin back in service (and keep my watchmaker happy).
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
WW
PS Don't be too hard on Jon. Many non-native speakers of English have problems with are homonyms. LOL!!
