NAWCC EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING
NOVEMBER 7, 2002
RESIGNATION OF NANCY D. CONNELLY, PhD
The meeting was called to order at NAWCC Headquarters in Columbia, PA by NAWCC President, Doug C. Cowan.
Members present for all of the meeting:
Doug Cowan, President
Judy Draucker, 1st Vice President
John Hubby, 2nd Vice President
Nancy Ankrum, Secretary
David Wood, Treasurer
Ralph Fletcher, Chairman, Board of Trustees, National Watch and Clock Museum
Fortunat Mueller-Maerki, Volunteer consultant
Council members present for part of the meeting:
Betty Brown, Director
Frank Del Greco, Director
The following actions were taken by the Executive Committee:
1. Accepted the resignation of Nancy D. Connelly, PhD, as Executive Director, NAWCC, effective November 12, 2002.
2. Appointed an Acting Executive Director to manage the Association during the interim in which a search for a new Executive Director would be conducted. The Acting Director will be President Doug Cowan, who will donate his time three days per week at Headquarters in Columbia.
3. Some Presidential responsibilities to be delegated to 1st Vice President Judy Draucker during the interim search time.
4. Appointed a Search Committee consisting of three members: Judy Draucker, 1st Vice President, Ralph Fletcher, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, NWCM, Fortunat Mueller-Maerki, non-voting Search Committee coordinator and facilitator.
5. Recommendations of the Search Committee to be subject to approval by the Executive Committee and the NWCM Chairman of Trustees.
6. Out-of-pocket expenses of Search Committee and Acting Executive Director to be placed in the budget of Executive Director.
