Auction closed tonite.
When I saw the pricing, I knew something was up

Naturally I got curious, and decided it was time to do some research

Well according to my meager references, this Grade 915 Rockford had a production count of 37 watches, and is listed in Shugart's as a 3 star.

Some of these 915 production numbers are a SINGLE run.

Model #7 or 9?

Shugart says a Model 7.

From his pics of Rockford movements, the only difference I can detect between Model 7 and 9 is the shape of the regulator.

Yes I see Shugart shows this as a single run model 7. The 3 star version is the model 9 and the ebay sale price seems quite high for the emodel 7.
You are right that there only seems to be a very slight difference in the regulator to distinguish between the models.

I could only find this grade listed as a Model 7 in the Shugart Serial number Listing.

Again, my references are limited to the Shugart listing.
