Hello Carroll I posted this on the Horological Books section and did not have a very good response to it. As a matter of fact I started a poll site and got very little input. I hope that you have better luck with your POST. Mike 0136966  By the way I just purchased this book a couple of weeks ago and it seems pretty useful and good to me .

Hi Carroll-
I purchased mine about the same time as Mike and had been looking for one for years. I had access to a copy at work but wanted one of my own. AWI has just recently reprinted "The Best of J.E. Coleman" and it should be readily available (of course now that I found a copy!). I too find it a wonderful resource of information and highly recommend it.
David.

I have had mine for many years and probably look up something maybe once every couple weeks. The range of items in the book makes it easy-rather than looking in several books for the answer. The range of detail is amazing!

Got my copy when it was first published and it's great for picking up and reading. His explanation of how to set up a French clock dial train and strike train are worth the cost of the book.
I have been using it for reference for years. In fact just picked it up two days ago for help in setting up a calendar clock. Lots of diverse topics from mechanical to electric.

Carroll,
One of the half dozen books that should always be kept close to hand if you have questions about clocks, watches and their repair. It is 528 pages closely packed with information that has been sorted so you can study topics(22 sections in the table of contents). It answers questions he had been asked in the column he wrote for more than 25 years.Plus there is an excellent and complete index,

Carroll,
I've just ordered this book from AWI and I'll let you know my thoughts after I read it. I've been able to access some quotes and solutions from this book in the past and they have been helpful.
