Isn't it interesting that non-watch people most often give the case number rather the the number from movement. Rechancex2, the number you will find on the works will unlock the secrets of your watch.

Rechancex2, Elgin watches are the most common of the jeweled watches. The Elgin company made more than half of all the jeweled watches produced in this country. Your watch was made circa 1907. It is known as a grade 320, 7jewels, O size and one of 914,000 made. Most of the ladies watches of this style known as a "Hunting Case" watch are in good condition because they were not generally carried daily as working watches. You have a fine example of a quality American product produced in what I call the Golden Age of American Manufacturing.Made more valuable to you because of family association.
