The marks are UK hallmarks. The lion indicates sterling silver, the anchor, Birminghan assay office and the lower case r the year of manufacture (of the case, can't make it out in your scan but probably 1891. Watch is probably a fusee. The movement will swing out the front. Open the front bezel and there will be an obvious catch opposite a hinge, push up and pull out on catch and movemnet will hinge out. The movement will probably be covered by a dust cover which is held on by a black crescent shaped catch, sliding it until the larger hole is over the pin wil release the cover which can then be lifted of revealing the movement which should have the manufacturers name on it

According to Baillie
British watch Co, London 1843, formed to manufacture watches by tools designed by Ingold. Opposed by watch trade and forced to close.

That looks like an upper case R to me, would indicate 1866
