What is the material that some of the Hamilton dials are made of? You know, the ones that crack and curl like dried mud. I,ve heard them refered to as "Melmaline", "Melamine", "Melmar", and other similar names. When were they first used? And lastly, what causes them to crack. I have some that are perfect and others that look like a dried lake bed!
