Hi-

I bought a Movado Kingmatic autowind which turned out to be 14k although I did not know it at the time. My watchmaker re-pivoted the click and put in a new mainspring and it is running very well. He said it is a very nice watch that kept good time but was "over-engineered" and thus had many problems. Can anyone tell me a little more about it or direct me to some place where I can find out some information?

Mike,

I once ran into a Movado Kingmatic that was owned by a freind of mine. As I recall, I think it was a Zenith movement, and it was an odd one. It is the only one I've ever seen. Its condition was such that I turned down the repair. If you can supply the calibre number that Movado put on this mevement, we might be able to tell you more.
