Hello,
This is my first time posting here and hope someone can help me out. I am looking for someone to help me identify a pocketwatch given to my by a close friend. My experience is only with wristwatches and never a pocketwatch. This one seems very special and might be a very interesting mystery to solve.
I met a pocket watch collector who saw it and got very very excited about it but was unable to provide the expertise to truly find out if it could be an Audemars or just an Ebauche.
Here are the details;
Turn of the century 18K casework Split Second HC Chronograph with Snail Cam regulator. Overall watch is in Mint condition. Truly a beautiful piece of machinery.
Please email me at Watchismo@gmail.com if you have any tips, referrals (pref in NYC area) or any other information that may help. I can also email you photos for examination.
Thank you,
Mitch

Got an example for you:
I have a car. Says "Grande Ozwell" on it. Has a 388 CID engine, front-wheel drive, and is maroon with black Landau roof.
Is it rare?
Without a photo, the world may never know.

Exactly. You did see my comment above that photos are available and would love to send them to anyone that might be able to help determine it's maker.
I can email them to anyone that will respond to the post or email me at watchismo@gmail.com
Once I get my FTP up, I'll post them here. Unless you can tell me how else to link to an image without a host.
Thanks!
Mitch

Mitch, go to the first post in clock section. Follow instruction for Flickr. Flicr can store your photo jpeg files and you can download to NAWCC message board..........Good luck...

Mitch:
Welcome to the NAWCC Pocket Watch Message Board!
Currently, Tom Chaudoir, the NAWCC Message Board Administrator, is recommending that those who do not have web space in which to post pictures register for a free account at flickr.com (http://flickr.com/register.gne). This may now open a Yahoo page, but it will still let you register to post pictures. Their menu-driven procedure for loading pictures is about as easy as it gets. After you enlarge the picture, using flickr's magnifying glass icon (the magnifying glass icon appears in a toolbar above the loaded & saved picture once you've clicked on the picture), scroll down below the picture to find the field labeled "1. Grab the photo's URL:" The link in that field is the one to post on the NAWCC Pocket Watch Message Board. Vic Rose has posted an excellent old ref::Description on How to Post a Picture on the NAWCC Clock Message Board, which of course also works on for posting a picture on the pocket watch message board.
Good luck,
