Mike Harold,
you sent me a private email regarding a Manhatten Watch I had in an old post. If you see this post here are some new photos of the watch and a spare paper dial.

First I had internet connection problems, then brain problems, but I finally found this. Nice clean watch and case.

Time only Manhattans with no sweep hand are pretty scarce. Note that the minute post is solid, so there never was a sweep hand. Even a little scarcer seem to be sweepers having no stop mechanism.

Can we compile serial number data on Mahnattans and New York Chrongraph watches & movements? I will be glad to put it all together (maybe a little slowly). The main items seem to be:

Movement serial number
Case material - nickel/gold fill/decoration/etc.
Case Style - Open/hunter
Sweep hand - yes/no (if minute post is hollow, there is supposeed to be a sweep hand)
Stop mechanism - yes/no (there will be two small buttons instead of one)
Barrel bridge - yes/no
Winding click - pivoted & spring, or one piece
Dial - paper/porcelain
Chronograph - yes/no (angled button at 11:00, & watch continues running when timer stopped)
3/4 plate 16 size - yes/no

Would love to get data and an understanding of Manhattan production.

Mike
