View Full Version : Fahy's 'Warranted to Wear Permanently'?

I have a small hunter case by Fahys that states "Warranted to Wear Permanently" and has the Fahys logo and name on it. There are no karat markings on the case. I'm assuming it's GF...but is it? I've looked in my spanking new 2004 Shugart's guide and can't find an answer.
Anyone know the history of the 'Warranted to Wear Permanently' statement vs. those that state the # of years ?
Thanks,
Darren

Hi,
Even though it says "permanently", it seems this was about a 30 year case. This is what I remember from previous discussions on this mark.
It is gold filled, but had a higher 'thickness' of gold to the outside surfaces than the 25year cases.

Thanks Terry. That's about what I figured. Although didn't they have to state the karat of the gold they used?
