eBay auction 6607846629 purports to be a watch dating to 1859, presented in that year to a train conductor in Waukegan, Illinois. However, the serial number provided, and which appears in one of the photos on the movement, date the watch to 1914, using the Elgin Watch Collector's site dating guide. It should also be a 16-size watch, rather than the 18-size described in the eBay auction listing. What do you experts think is going on here? As someone who lives near Waukegan, it would be an interesting watch to add to my collection, but something seems amiss here.

Sorry, fellows, I just re-visited the listing and notice that the seller has added a notation at the bottom that this is a replaced movement. Apparently, others noticed the discrepancy before I did, and the seller clarified.

I emailed him dating the movement yesterday. What I didn't tell him was there were no stem winds in 1859 that I have ever heard of. The first 16 size was in 1860 key wind and the first stem wind was in 1868 both made by Waltham.
