There was a Western Clock Manufacturing Comapny formed in La Salle, Illinois in 1888. They had a factory in Peru, Illinois. They began manufacturing watches in 1895 and in that year the name was changed ot Western Clock Company. I do not know how they labeled thier watches.

There was a Western Watch company of Chicago that was organized in 1880. they failed the same year without producing any watches. The machinery was sold to the Illinois Watch Co.

I am suspicious that you watch is Swiss. They often made watches with American sounding names and in the style of American watches. If the watch is late enough, the word Swiss should appear somewhere on the movement. However, they were very good at hiding it. Still an image of the back of the movement would help us.
