Can anyone direct me to an on-line resource displaying photos or drawings of Hamilton factory advertised 16s RR pocket watch cases?
I have one so marked that does not appear in Shugart. Thanks. JDS

JDS:

I'm afraid that you're going to have to look through old Hamilton catalogs to find illustrations of most Hamilton cases. This may not be available on-line. Luckily, a number of catalog pages, showing cases, are reproduced in "Hamilton Serial Numbers and Production Figures with Price Guide," Roy Ehrhardt, Heart of America Press, Kansas City, MO, 1981 (A new edition is still in print - see web site at: http://www.hoapress.com ).

If you are referring to 16-size cases, the April 1997 NAWCC Bulletin has a piece on Early Hamilton Cases on pages 229-231. These pre-date the first of the railroad model cases which came out in 1924. Unfortunately, this resource isn't available on-line yet. However, circulating copies are available to members from the NAWCC Library.

Good luck,
Kent

Could you possibly post an image of the case? Or email the image to me and I'll post if for you, if you'd like....
