I'm trying to fix the damage done by a "do-gooder" to a friend's Ingraham Viceroy dollar watch. When they opened the movement, they did not unpeg and unthread the hairspring before spreading the plates. Therefore the hairspring is junk, completely kinked and bent. Does anyone have a hairspring that is proper to the Viceroy? I used a thinner one from a junk watch I had in a drawer to test it. It works, but stops after several minutes to a half hour. It's too thin and weak in comparison to the old one. Any help appreciated. How long should it run when fully wound, anyway? Chris

Chris,
If you still need a hairspring, e-mail me. I may have one.
