Good Evening:
Does anyone recognize this name? Looks like a decent movement, but I'm wondering if it was made by another company.
Thanks again,

Just one of thousands of Swiss watches made up to appear they were made in the US or look like US style. These are not real companies. The names changed with thier mood. At least this one is clearly marked Swiss. After decades of Swiss fakes, the US Government made sure the Swiss name was clearly spelled out and easily found.

According to data in Kathleen Pritchard's book Swiss Timepiece Makers 1775 - 1975, the Rode Watch was a company name of Avia, Degoumois & Cie SA, located in La Chaux de Fonds from its founding in 1887 until 1933 and in Neuchatel thereafter. They were still in business at least as late as 1975, although it doesn't appear that they were still using the "Rode Watch" name. The last mention of the "Rode Watch" name I saw was in the mid 1920s.

Grant, check my reply to your question at the ### site. I found an ebay auction of an advertisement post card where Hayden Wheeler apparently sold Rode watches from the shop back in 1914.
