Hi,
You or any reference (where?) was not aimed at you. I have been hearing this term for many years and the question came up today on a phone call I received from a collector.
I might add that it might be a fine term for the jewelry business but as someone who has been in the watch game for 47 years, I find it basic incorrect grammar and terminalogy. I remember when some of the "dealers" began using this term 20 or so years ago--it was used out of ignorance. I also find it interesting that you copied my post to this site--did you wish to be added to the chapter 149 MB as a guest?
BTW, did you jump on the tool sale on fleabay?
