I suggest looking through a pile of junkers at the next watch show and get the part from one that looks like yours. The maker used many different names. If you check the lists of names used by dollar watch makers like Ingersoll you can find out who made it. You can find lists of dollar watch makers in the Pocket Watch Price Guide.

Good luck,

Greg

Let me look tonight when I go home. I have a number of parts to old dollar watches. Defiance rings a bell, but I cannot remember for sure who made it. Anyway, if I have something I'll let you know.

Your watch was made by the Ingersol company which made the dollar watch a househld word. There were numerous types made, but many of the componants were interchangeable. If you send me an email, I might be able to help you out with a mainspring, but we will need to exchange some additional information about the watch you have before that is possible.
