Raimo,
From information contained in the American Pocket Watch Encyclopedia Vol 2 (Illinois), by Meggers and Ehrhardt, your watch is an 18 size Hunting case (closed cover), Model 5, Grade 89. The movement is adjusted to three positions and is lever set. It was made about 1912, with a production of 3,520 movements containing 17 jewels in hunting case.
Your watch case was made by the Illinois Watch Case Co, of Elgin Il. This company was NOT affiliated with either the Elgin National Watch Co. or the Illinois Watch Co. Most watches sold during this period were not factory cased; the buyer selected the movement and case he desired, and the selling jeweler "married' them together. The "Hercules" indicated the quality grade of the case; the scratched in numbers are probably cleaning and repair marks put in by watchmakers who worked on the watch.
